‘The Discover the World pavilion will surprise with unparalleled destinations and will introduce travel opportunities in at least four parts of the world – Europe, Africa, Asia and America. We have already signed more than 100 contracts for participation in the travel fair,’ the “Balttour” project manager Dainis Bricis told.
Among participants, there will be the biggest Latvian tour operators, representatives of the most popular tourist destinations, national tourism associations of different countries, hotels, transport companies etc.

Balttour Forum will bring to Riga 250 professional tourism organisations!
The professional tourism forum will open the International Travel Trade Fair “Balttour 2013” for the second consecutive year and this time it will focus on cooperation between the Baltic and CIS countries bringing to Riga 250 invited tourism professionals.
“Balttour forum. Focus CIS” is aimed to promote cooperation between Russia, CIS and Baltic countries to increase tourist flow in between these and to many other countries in 2013 and in years to come, to build business relations, to find direct contacts, to sell services and to discuss current events in business.
‘The first “Balttour” forum already proved the interest of Latvian and Russian governmental and non-governmental tourism organizations representing and the necessity to discuss the transportation, border crossing, product quality standard and market related issues. Both parties expressed their views, described market situation and searched for common denominators to improve cooperation between the countries. Moreover, Baltic businesspersons established new contacts during forum’s workshops,’ the director of the International Travel Agency FTB Latvia Anta Jokste explained.
The “Balttour 2013" forum will be a three-day event offering a programme of workshops, presentations, round-table panels and work meetings to discuss the quality of tourism services, education, development, medical tourism, cultural projects, logistics related and other significant issues. The forum participants will visit the “Balttour 2013” fair, will take sightseeing tours in Riga, Sigulda and Jurmala.

“Balttour 2013” will first present Vietnam, the country of unforgettable impressions, famous for its sand dunes, rocky rice fields, Bounty-style beaches and one of the world’s largest waterfalls – Ban Gioc.

Get to know Latvian cultural heritage!
Liv coast and ventini, suiti, Lejaskurzeme, Zemgale, Sēlija, Latgale, Piebalga, Daugava River banks... these are eight of Latvia’s ethnographic regions to be presented at “Balttour 2013” by the Latvian Country Tourism Association “Lauku ceļotājs” (Country Traveller).
‘We will present multitude of new destinations for Latvian and foreign travellers, who wish to get acquainted with Latvian and Baltic cultural and historical sites and traditions. We will offer as well a “Worth Seeing” map of Latvia and Estonia presenting the national tourism values of both countries – farmsteads, farms, crafts and inns,’ the president of “Lauku ceļotājs” Asnate Ziemele told.
