The Winner of Travel Story Competition Announced!

The Balttour 2011 Travel Story Competition has finally ended and it is a high time to announce the winners!

Each of 25 travel stories published at www.balttour.lv and www.delfi.lv was like a documentary telling about facts, discoveries, misunderstandings and full spectrum of emotions… The members of jury acquainted themselves with the factual account, narrative style of each account, judged the quality and originality of each picture enclosed.

The Best Travel Story

The Balttour 2011 Grand Prix – a weekend break including dinner and overnight stay for two persons at AVALON Hotel – goes to Martins Kalva, who wrote an excellent story about Vietnam. Congratulations!

DELFI Favourite

The DELFI Favourite Prize goes to Margarita Guseva and her adventures in Paris, and Jānis Pinnis for the Guatemala travel story. Congratulations! (Editorial board will contact you.)

Prizes

As we promised earlier, the authors of all published stories receive two invitation cards to “Balttour 2011”.
